Research

We are a department with a wide range of research and teaching interests in such fields as Pedagogy of Higher School, ELT Methodology, Philology, Linguistics and Social Philosophy. Our priority is given to such issues as:

• ELT methodology in higher school
• Development of EAP and ESP curricula and syllabi
• Development of new generation EAP and ESP course books
• Development of multimedia ELT materials
• Computer-assisted language learning
• Ways for ELT enhancement within the  multi-level university study
• Socio-cultural aspects in ELT

Post-graduate studies

In 1998 a post graduate course in speciality 130008- Theory and Methodology of Professional Education was opened in the Department of English for Sciences. The research supervisor is Doctor of Pedagogy,Professor Olga I. Safronenko.

In March 2007 – Olga G. Domorovskaya successfully defended dissertation for a Candidate of Science Degree on the subject “Socio-pedagogical conditions of migrant students’ adaptation in a cultural and educational environment of a higher school”.
