Teaching areas:

General English, English for Academic Purposes, ESP courses for graduate and postgraduate students in sciences, Business English, ESP Teacher Refresher course.

  • Higher education: historical, philosophical and methodological aspects
  • ELT methodology
  • ESP textbooks and courses design for students in sciences
  • Tests development, quality assessment of the English language proficiency
  • Innovative computer mediated technologies in ELT.

Recent publications, courses and programs developed:

More than 130 publications in the area of multilevel university education and its quality assessment; ELT methodology, ESP textbooks and courses design for students in sciences, tests development, etc. They include seven course books in EAP and ESP for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students in sciences; Basic English Language Courses/ Syllabi for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students of various specialisms  in sciences, taught in Southern Federal  University; three Doctoral degree monographs on the English Language teaching in Russian universities (historical and methodological aspects); numerous publications on ELT methodology in the leading Russian and foreign journals);  Entry and Screen Tests for the Russian President’s Management Training Initiative Program; materials for ESP Teacher Development Course, RESPONSE project.
